#212 Purple Top

I wanted to paint an entire (almost) purple painting tonight as I have done the second day of painting with the kids at Oakwood (check the link on the right). I also must be more careful when painting material. It isn't rags! Whoops sorry Debbie.

#211 Orange Bucket

There are all sorts of reasons why I have painted an orange painting. Firstly it is our new bucket (thank you Kate and Derek ) second we went to b&q tonight to get some tester pots (one of which was orange) I have also been using orange paint today helping about 100 kids 4 - 11 paint their little panels for the big oak leaf painting here luckily only a couple painted their panel entirely orange like this!

Happy Fathers day (UK!)- slippers - these are mine - ( you can just see my socks) - it turns out my Dad has the same footwear. Although, I think he goes outside in his whereas mine are for indoor use only.

Tomorrows dinner today! Well dinner will be ham rolls but evening meal will be this beef joint roasted.

#206 Floorboards

We pulled up the carpet on the landing the other day and underneath is some very old half painted and half not painted floorboards. I should paint them over soon because I suspect it is lead based paint. Which is good because so is the White in this painting!

#204 Tomato Ketchup

I really didn't know what to paint tonight so when in doubt reach for the tomato sauce! I think my childhood obsession with tomato ketchup is to blame for my grown up love of gorgeous juicy red paint. It's debatable which one is the healthier obsession.

I only used one colour with the name of the thing I have painted and yes it was called lemon yellow.

#200 Crab

The crab has special significance to me, I am a cancerian, I come from Norfolk (about thirty miles from Cromer) where the very best crabs come from. I love the colour orange and most importantly i love eating them. So I also love painting them, funny how that goes.

I had a bit of a thing for drawing cheese graters when I was at college. I dont think i have drawn or painted one since. I Want to do some more, I remembered what fun they are.......

#198 Three Layers of Cake

I have been filming myself painting a cake for the #1000paintings project. More about that when I have edited the (epic) film (it took a while to get right) and it will be on youtube. But this is a detail if the cake I painted mmmm Jan cream and sponge. Eating it now.

This is the last bit at the top of this pineapple, I have been keeping it in the fridge but on closer inspection there really isn't any good eating left on it.

#195 Pot with a Splash of Water

Happy Birthday Diego Velazquez! As a tribute to my favourite painter I have recreated one of my favourite moments from his early paintings. 'The Waterseller' has the most fantastic bit of painting on the pot in the foreground where a splash of water has hit the pot. Quiet but stunning. Here is a large cactus pot that I splashed a little bit of water down the side. Mine is more of a dribble than a splash.

I had a fantastic opportunity to paint a fez so, being a big Tommy Cooper fan, I took it. Juslikethat.

#193 Tin Chicken

This tin chicken should have a good use, but it doesn't. It has a useful hole to hang it up with, as you can see, and it has a useful receptical behind the chicken but I've not found anything good to keep in it.

#191 tape on cardboard box

More in my cardboard series, this time you can see the fragile tape wrapped around a different box. The tape has fragile written on it as opposed to tape that is weak or easily damaged.
