I went to Gloucester today, business not pleasure. Anyway to commemorate Beatrix potters tailor of Gloucester I have painted a needle and thread stuck in the liquorice allsort. Odd? Me?

Day #249 Blueberry
I've painted quite a few of our initial harvests, but this is our first ever blueberry. Taaaaaasty! There isn't many this year so they are precious things.

Day #248 Shaving Tissue
Another grisly one for you! I had a shave and took a chunk off a well placed mole I have on my top lip. 'Ouch' I said and preceded to apply small wads of tissue to my face, feeling a bit giddy from the blood loss now though....

Day #247 Moth/Butterfly 2
I like a good theme to a weekend this weekend the theme is dead moths and butterflies. Cheery soul aren't I?

Day #246 Moth/Butterfly
Not sure if it is a dead moth or butterfly, either way it is another beastie for the 'dead things on a napkin' area!

Day #244 Garlic
Our first garlic crop of the year, now my studio smells entirely of garlic, it has even overpowered the smell of linseed oil and turpentine.

Day #243 Poppy Seed Head
I think it might be in the rules that I paint a poppy head, I'm sure I remember reading that somewhere?..

Day #242 Rice
I always cook too much rice, mostly because I follow the instructions on the packet. Tonight there was enough for our chilli, some to go in the fridge for another day and the chickens had the rest. As you can see in the painting the chicken is pretty interested in it.

Day #241 Leaves
I'm not telling what sort of plant is growing up the bamboo cane, you will have to guess! Needless to say more will be painted as it grows. Clue anyone?

We just had the best burger meal ever. End post.
Can you see the jelly burger on the tower of sweets?

Day #236 Boiled Egg
I have only just spotted that, apart from the plectrum and the vases (but we do use them to put flowers in), this plinth only has garden based things on it! Completely subconcious decisions! Now I'm worried someone is going to psychoanalyse me through this painting.

Day #235 Feltrum
That's right, a Feltrum! Used when playing the ukulele it is made from felt and often larger than a traditional guitar plectrum. The felt means the sound is softer plus a hard plectrum would break the strings.

Day #234 Slate
Hot, hot, hot here in the Gloucestershire desert. So we've put slates on all the pots so the water can't evaporate. Clever eh!
Here is one of them hiding behind a candle, I had better replace it quick before the chilli plant dries out!

More of my timber collection, this is a piece of rosewood destined for ukulele fingerboards.
Bottom right leant up against the plinth if you are having trouble finding things!

Day #227 Lavender
I am fully aware that aromatherapy may not work in real life on hens!

Day #225 Poppy
It is my Mums birthday today, she likes poppies, poppies are out at the minute I have painted a poppy. Easy! Happy birthday Mum!

Day #223 Potato
Our first potato harvest of the year! Nestled next to the tuber it grew from! Time travel in a painting! Just like Massacio and the miracle of the fishes (google it!)

Day #222 Nephew Jack
Here is my nephew Jack in his birthday helmet! Happy Birthday! The 'nephew trilogy' is complete.
I will return to this part of the painting when it's dry, I am in danger of over fussing, the worst crime for a painter!

Day #221 Shavings
I have been neglecting my facial growth recently which resulted in a rather patchy beard, I have never been very good at growing facial hair. So the best thing to do with it is paint it.
