Day #338 Nails

I spent some of my day taking down a whole load of drawings hung on one of the studio walls, they had been put up with tiny nails like the ones you see here. Tomorrow I will remove those before someone Impales themselves (probably me).

Day #337 Autumn Leaf

I expect there will be a few of these blown down in tonight's storm! Hold on to your hats.

Day #336 Squash

Our first successful squash harvest is celebrated by hanging one up in the painting. Tomorrow it gets eaten. 

Day #335 Sussex Star Feather

Simple explanation for today's addition, see yesterday's explanation...but swap chicken names. By the way, you are looking at the pair of feathers top left not the big pair.

Day #334 Speckeldy hen Feather

It's new hen day today, the last ones were dispatched a couple weeks ago. So we introduced our two Speckeldys and two Sussex Stars into our little hen house. Lay eggs now. Immediately!

Here is one of the speckeldys flight feathers, removed so she can't fly away and become fox food.

Day #333 Green Chilli Pepper

This is from our Big Jim plant, If we are veeery lucky and we get some lovely winter sun these might turn red....

Day #332 Toy Lobster

Can you see it behind the roll, the ladybird, the white horse at Uffington, and the orange tulip. I think this is now the most highly stacked bit of the painting.

Day #330 Purple Chalk Pastel and Wall Scrawl

This weekend has a 'drawing on the wall' theme, I didn't plan it that way, I must feel like drawing on walls...it happens.

Day #329 Drawing on the wall

I got into a bit of trouble as a little person by drawing on the walls... But it doesn't matter in paintings. I made some modifications to our chicken house today, this drawing represents a diagram for one piece of the run.

Day #328 Scalpel blade

I like how I am slowly collecting similar things together in the painting, like this blade collection in and around the cardboard box. New today is the little scalpel blade.

Day #326 Philip Guston Postcard

I have popped another one of my studio postcards on the notice board. This is a pile of cherries by Philip Guston. You will be surprised to learn that I haven't painted a cherry in the whole of this project. I have now, sort of.

Day #325 Tinfoil ball

Tinfoil is hard to paint... But I wanted to make a tribute to my new favourite painter Teodora Axente, thanks to Sheila T for pointing her work out! My homage is this screwed up a ball of tinfoil placed in my little niche shrine!
