#353 Apple Stalk

Finished hanging the JDP today just in time for the private view phew! Between the last picture label going up and the private view I ate the apple that this was attached to. I found it my pocket jut as i was going to paint... Watercolour and pencil 14cm 9cm.

I have been hanging the Jerwood Drawing Prize on its Cheltenham stop on its tour. Don't worry this isn't a frame from the show. A task I have enjoyed over the last ten years (Especially the year I was in it!) with this years hang tinged with a bit of sadness as possibly the last one that we host. Watercolour and pencil

#351 'Pull Back' Fly

I bought this specifically to paint earlier this year but it never seemed right, wierdly now there is little chance of seeing a real fly for a few months it seemed the thing to do ... you pull him back and goes forward with all his legs wiggling away. Great fun even for a 'grown man' of 36. Watercolour and pencil 19cm x 14cm.
