2011 Posting Error

I have realised I didn't post on the 8th of September, I will endeavour to find out what I painted and let you know as soon as I do! Bah, I didn't like 2011, glad it's gone.

I'm not surprised I think I was moving an art school that week in september!

Christmas isn't Christmas without a chocolate orange, or two, the thing is they don't last all that long. Especially when you paint one digitally, and eat pieces of it while you paint. Just to get a feel for the subject you understand!

Feeling a touch better today, Chiropractors are amazing. If you have any kind of neck or back pain I urge you to go and see one as soon as possible. I felt so good I cleaned the bath out! All ready to have a bath later on.

Still suffering with weird head and face pain, went to the chiropractor today, a very nice lady who made my neck crack! Feel slightly strange this afternoon but have been prescribed hot water bottle application so it seemed like a good thing to paint.

I finally know why I have been suffering searing pain across my teeth, face and neck, it appears I suffer from cluster headaches. A mysterious ailment probably diet/booze related. Can go away as quickly as it appears but will probably reoccur. In the meantime there are these strong painkillers.

I love how different natural light can be from daylight, through selecting the actual colour for these drawings from the real world it is surprising how 'different' colours are to what I expect.

We realised that the chickens have started to moult, feathers everywhere! Which means we have probably had the last of our eggs for the year. I thought it would be good to make s drawing of them before their combs went all pale and deflated.

These two small pieces of pepper fell from the chopping board when I added them the the pan for my chilli. The other bits are general kitchen floor waste, annoyingly I only cleaned it this morning bah!

#001 Tube of Paint - Year Four

A new begining then. I am a little amazed that I have just started my fourth year of daily painting. And still havent missed a day (apart from the one day when I forgot to post but I still painted!). I never thought I would keep it going for that long.. And I already have a pretty good idea what I will do next year.......

But back to this year. The theme is a little bit different this time, I am going to be making 366 (2012 is a leap year!) digital ipod/ipad paintings, these will be available as prints so keep an eye out for more info on that once I have done a few of the paintings (or are they drawings?).
I have started the year of digital pictures with this, one of one my favourite tubes of paint; Carmine Lake. I see it as a sort of handover picture, from real to virtual colour. But dont worry I will still be making real paintings...

Finished the third year of Dan Young, Daily! Woohoo! This is one of Debbie's birthday birthday presents there were lots of patterns to choose from. Tomorrow a new digital journey will begin tune in for more daily picture fun, thanks for your company these last three years!

This painting is a reminder to ice my thumb, unknown injury but it hurts like the devil himself is poking his trident into it (the devil has a trident, right?) when I bend it too far and, worst of all, when I paint! Only two more paintings till the Doctor Who style reincarnation happens.....

I like the way cotton strands seem to stick to everything this is a piece of that blue foam stuff with two such errant strands of thread running across it.

This is the wallpaper in my studio, it is a three dimensional bubble pattern. So far I haven't been tempted to pop any of the bubbles, like you do on bubble wrap!
