#081 Gardening Glove
The first hard digging day of this year today, lovely weather for it at the allotment, I can feel it in my back now though! I was digging the last bed to be dug which will be where the potato, along with all the others, I painted last night will go. This was the glove I wore on my right hand while I was digging. It reminded me of the glove that Brian Sewell, the art critic, owns that was the inspiration for Pablo Picassos painting of the hand of a wounded soldier in his monumental painting Guernica. There is a photo of it in this article. Not that I am in any way comparing digging my potato bed to the bombing of a Northern Spanish Town.
