#342 Sprig of Bay
We have been assaulting the back garden today, this is a sprig of bay that I have cut back and plan on drying out for use during the winter.

#340 Pizza
I have made a load of pizzas today which are now safely tucked up in the freezer, apart from this one which is being slowly consumed.

#339 Bread knife
I have cut something much better than mere bread today. All I'm saying is that I made chocolate brownies this afternoon. Swoon.

#337 Walking Man
A red man usually means you can't walk but in this instance it means you can and should walk here. Good eh?

#336 Three Cones
One of the perks of working at a University is that there is rarely a shortage of cones. A dubious perk but a perk nonetheless. I like this selection of three different styles. Eeeeep a month from today I will be starting my next daily painting project, more info about that if you click the picture of me on the right hand side of this website. I can't wait to get going on it...

#335 Shadow of Jam Sieve & Chinois
I love shadows, strangely I have never spotted this one before from the kitchen. I have now. By the way, if you don't know what a chinois is it is like a sieve but more solid and you put gravy through it, or custard, to get the lumps out. Not that we have lumpy gravy or custard.

#330 Tree
But not just any tree, this is my favourite tree in Cheltenham. It is one that most closely resembles a bonsai tree.

#319 Snapdragon
An untidy but pretty little corner of the garden, this snapdragon has been growing and flowering all summer. It was planted, and flowered, last year! Good value.

The next stage in preparation of next years daily canvas. Today is glue making day. I have to be careful not to burn it because it stinks.

#315 Capsicum
I can't believe I haven't 'done' a capsicum pepper this year, a staple of Dan Young, Daily over the years. It's usually about this time of year I start to think about those things that I may not have painted yet but wanted to....

#314 Popcorn
I got my appetite back today, hooray. I actually fancied some popcorn, hooray. We had some popcorn, hooray. Not hooray. It had gone stale and wouldn't pop. This picture represents pretty much all I got.

#313 Grape Stalk
This is the first ever bunch of grapes I have ever been involved in growing. As I was picking off the tiny fruits I thought 'this would have made a great subject for today's 'daily' '. It may have been better with more grapes on? But I have always liked grape stalks with their gnarly bark like branches.
