Day #128 Yellow

A nice sunny yellow paint swatch for you today, I like being able to create a clash or two in my little colour world. It also highlights the clock hand referencing my poor start this morning due to the clocks 'springing' forward.

Day #127 Toy Native American

I found this red Indian with the green cowboy in my loft when we moved in a few years ago, they both fit on the horse I painted on the driftwood shelf. Not sure what they are up to on the tree branches....

Day #126 Cowboy

It's Good Friday so, I thought I would paint a cowboy in a tree, I know that doesn't make any sense whatsoever. Blame Salvador Dali if you like.

I have also just realised that this is the first 'Good Friday' during this daily painting project of mine that I haven't painted a hot cross bun. It wasn't a conscious decision, for some reason, I have thought it was Saturday all day today.

Aaaaanyway, if you live in Cheltenham, or its environs, do pop in to the Gardens Gallery in Cheltenham over e easter weekend to see me and my show of digital landscapes from last years digital dailies!

Day #125 Silica Gel

This lives in my archive box of prints to stop the moisture getting in.

Day #123 Colour Test

Out of sequence I'm afraid, this was Tuesdays painting! Whoops

Wednesday, 27 March 2013

Day #124 Red Dot

I was hoping I could paint a red dot in this years painting on the opening night of my show #CotswoldLandscapes. Not only because it represents a sale (yay!) but it also represents a veeeery easy days painting on a day when I have hung and opened my show! However, now, sleep.

Day #122 Nail

I like this little area of fixings, I am enjoying working out whether they have things hung on them or not.... I'm undecided.

Sunday, 24 March 2013

Day #121 D Ring

I have been putting these little things in the back of all my prints on and off throughout today so I can hang them on Wednesday nice and quickly. Not sure what will hang off this one...

Saturday, 23 March 2013

Day #120 Nephew Zachary

Here he is the young fella! Crawling along the floor... Happy Birthday little nephew!

Friday, 22 March 2013

Day #119 Windowsill

I wasn't sure what I was painting here, it started life as a ledge, but then it ended up being a window sill...

Thursday, 21 March 2013

Day #118 Poster

I have been putting posters up around and about in Cheltenham for my show #CotswoldLandscapes next week, you find more info if you click the little green picture over there on the right... Do you see it... That's it.. off you go and have a look, unless you already have in which case... See you there next week. I had to paint a bit of one of the posters and here it is on the notice board.

Day #117 Three pebbles

these very thin tongue-like pebbles came from a beach in Wales I can't remember which one....if I remember I'll tell you..

Tuesday, 19 March 2013

Day #116 Marble

There will be more marbles in this corner I reckon. This one is one of those white opaque ones. I will need to add a glaze to accentuate the glassyness when this layer is dry.

Monday, 18 March 2013

Day #115 Pencil sharpenings

You've got to keep your pencil sharp, good advice for artists and people everywhere!

Sunday, 17 March 2013

Day #114 Tiny Mug

In honour of how much tea I have drunk today here is a tiny little mug with my name on.

Saturday, 16 March 2013

Day #113 Purple Origami Frog

I should have painted this a couple of weeks ago but I left it behind..... He is safe now.

Day #111 A Dangerous Shard of Glass

I have been framing pictures for my exhibition today. And I have finally got the knack of cutting glass. I usually end up smashing it to pieces, like this piece here from one of my earlier attempts.

Wednesday, 13 March 2013

Day #110 Key

A key for the pope, although I prefer it when we get a new Doctor Who.

Tuesday, 12 March 2013

Day #109 Picture Hook

Lots of talk today about the merits of various hanging techniques, today's example: the picture hook.....

Monday, 11 March 2013

Day #108 Shell

I think this used to be an amazing pink colour, now it is a very pale pink. Faded in the sun, sigh.

Sunday, 10 March 2013

Day #107 Snowdrop

Happy Mother's Day! This is e best flower in my garden at the moment, well this one isn't in the garden anymore....

Saturday, 9 March 2013

Day #106 Juggling ball

I cut down the onion that I painted a few weeks ago this afternoon, it had started to rot. I also cut down this juggling ball that I had suspended ready for a painting, but it never seemed right. Well as it fell off I thought I would paint it today in it's 'fallen off' state.

Friday, 8 March 2013

Day #105 Long pebble

We inherited this unusually long pebble from a student house we lived at, many moons ago...

Thursday, 7 March 2013

Day #104 Bean

There is no better device for including a French bean into a painting than hanging.

Wednesday, 6 March 2013

Day #103 Mycelium

Yep that's right mycelium. We are mushroom growers now! You just make out the fluffy blobs in the straw, that's the mycelium which will spread over the damp straw and hopefully produce mushrooms. The damp straw should really be kept in the dark but this is a painting it isn't real!

Tuesday, 5 March 2013

Day #102 Toothpick

I know you are not supposed to use these type of wooden tooth picks on your teeth. So I haven't, I've stuck it in a snowball, almost as if something else is going to be stuck on top of it.....

Monday, 4 March 2013

Day #101 Blade

I've been cutting mounts for my show, did you know I have a show coming up at the end of the month? You did! Oh good, see you there then. Anyway this is a blade for a Logan 650 mount cutter. But you knew that didn't you? You clever sausages.
