I thought I would add a little bit of danger to this tower of wood, so here is a burnt match, let's hope it has properly gone out.

I have been thinking about all the different ways I could attach wood together in this painting, here is a dowel inserted into yesterday'siece of wood.

This piece of wood, beech I think, used to be an easel. It isn't anymore.

The stone tower painting might be finished, it might not. Either way I am starting a wooden off cuts tower, this piece is an offcut from a sink stand I made for the garden....

Living as I do in the Cotswolds here is a precariously balanced piece of the stone that is underneath me right now!
