#69 Picture Hook

Here we have another of the paintings of things that have come out of the house, I got fascinated by all the hooks and nails the previous owners had put it everywhere and started to collect some of the bits and pieces. This hook was in the staircase which was painted this rather bileous green colour, with 'matching' green carpet. I liked the way the dry paint is stuck to the hook here. Oil on gesso 16cm x 12cm.

#63 Scrap of Wallpaper

I have been lining papering the bedroom in preparation for painting. I felt a scrap of lining paper was not the most interesting painting to make or look at so, I tore a scrap from the surplus wallpaper from the living room. It is a plush black and grey acanthus leaf pattern which was our DIY treat when doing up the living room. Oil on gesso 16cm x 12cm.

#61 Black and White Allsort

After all the colour I have been using recently, here is a nice (looking not tasting!) black and white liquourice allsort. The pallette for this painting did not include any black at all, just Titanium white, burnt umber, ultramarine blue, ultramarine purple and the tiniest fleck of cadmium orange. Oil on gesso 16cm x 12cm.

#60 Orange Liquorice Allsort

Liquorice allsorts are one of those, rare, things that I love to look at but really dont like to eat! You can just see three of the little blue balls from another style of allsort in the bag that fell off the sweet when I placed it down ready to paint. Oil on gesso 16cm x 12xcm.
