This is a Matryoshka or Russian Doll, I have painted the very smallest doll that fits inside all the others. An interesting painting challenge this, painting a painted object. This was borrowed from my friend Sandra who collects them, thank you! Oil on gesso 16cm x 12cm click here to bid.

thanks Dave, this is the one that was the most problematic to paint so far. so its nice to get some good feedback...the struggle was worth it!
I think your collection is inspirational and very collectable. I'm just waiting for something to tickle my fancy and then to ebay I shall go.
